With the main acquisition of crystals coming from Grand Arena Championships (GAC), it is very important to make sure you have a good understanding of the event and how to utilize your current roster to maximize your placement within the Leagues. GACs follow a similar structure as the guild event Territory Wars and a lot of the same tactics and teams used in GAC will most likely work in Territory Wars and vice versa.

In GAC both you and your opponent have 4 territories to defend using teams created from each of your rosters. You earn Banners by defeating the opposing teams and conquering their territories. The key to winning is figuring out how to balance your roster between defense and offense in each match to gain more Banners than your opponent. This can be an ongoing juggling act and to be effective at it you may need help from other tools and resources.

Setting Defense There are lots of defensive strategies that exist and which one will work best for you is going to vary based on your collection, GAC League, opponents roster, and knowledge of counters. I will go over a few basic strategies to give you ideas you can try or modify that will hopefully help you out. This is by no means an exhausted list of possibilities.

General Tactics

Iron Wall
This is where you place your best defensive teams on the front in an effort to completely stop your opponent from taking any territories behind it.
Trojan Horse
This is where you place your best defensive team on the back. The whole purpose of doing this is to thin down your opponents roster on the front in hopes that they waste a team that was needed to counter it. To further increase the effectiveness of this tactic you should try to put teams on the front that require the same teams or a few characters from the team(s) that can counter the trojan horse.

Placement Strategies For smaller rosters
