Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes is a free-to-play mobile role-playing game developed by Capital Games and published by Electronic Arts for iOS and Android devices. It was first released as a soft launch in Australia during October 2015 and was officially released on November 24, 2015.

Galaxy of Heroes is a turn-based role playing game that features characters and ships from multiple places throughout the Star Wars universe, including box office films, animated series, and Knights of the Old Republic. Players are put into the role of a Holotable Hero who collects these holographic characters and ships to use in holotable battles. Battles can be fought in both a player-versus-environment (PVE) and player-versus-player (PVP) format with a team of characters or ships.

Characters and ships can be obtained by collecting shards of them, when enough shards are obtained they will become unlocked or will level up. There are several ways to get shards with the most common ways being a drop from completing a PVE level or by purchasing with in-game currency. Each character and ship has unique abilities that players can utilize and synergise with other character or ship abilities to create better teams. Status effects such as buffs and debuffs play an important part in character abilities.

Players unlock access to more content in the game as their level increases. The content is usually separated into different holotables. Each holotable has specific requirements and ways to play them with most being comprised of multiple levels with multiple stages within that level. When players reach level 20 they can join a guild and unlock even more content exclusive to guilds.
